Guest Post: What Kind of Marketer are You?

So these four hospital marketers walk into a bar …

question-shiftMarketer #1 stands on a table and announces, “I want everyone to know that Community General Medical Center is an award-winning hospital with state-of-the-art technology and great doctors.”

Marketer #2 goes from woman to woman (they make the decisions, right?), essentially hitting on them to make a date at the hospital. The marketer interprets the response, “No thank you, please go away,” as, “Try again later.”

Marketer #3 litters the walls, bathrooms and tables with posters and brochures that say “Community General Medical Center is an award-winning hospital with state-of-the-art technology and great doctors.”

Marketer #4 forgets to remove his or her hospital ID badge. One of the patrons walks up and says, “Do you work for Community General? I hear a lot of great stuff about what y’all are doing. Tell me more.”
